They were eating and drinking and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.&nbsp; Likewise, just as it was in the days of Lot\u2014they were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building,&nbsp; but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all\u2014&nbsp;so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Discussion Questions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>1.&nbsp; When does this take place?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>2.&nbsp; Who is ignorant?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Discussion Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>There are two ways of reading Luke 17:22-37 in order to determine when these events take place.&nbsp; The first is to mark the difference between the \u201cdays\u201d of the Son of Man and the \u201cday\u201d of the Son of Man.&nbsp; Using this guideline the \u201cdays\u201d of the Son of Man refer to the entire Christian Age beginning with Jesus\u2019 message \u201cThe Kingdom of God is at hand.\u201d&nbsp; The last \u201cday\u201d then refers to the end time when Jesus is revealed from heaven and all recognize him.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>The second way of reading Luke 17:22-37 is to read \u201cday\u201d and \u201cdays\u201d as both referring to the same indefinite time period of Jesus\u2019 return as in the parallel verse of Matthew 24:36-44.\u00a0 Using this guideline all the events of these verses describe the same event when Jesus is revealed only to those watching with the right heart attitude.\u00a0 These are able to discern through events in society that the heavens and the earth are being removed by the power of the returned Lord (2 Peter 3:3-7).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>The ignorant are those described in the parable of the wise and foolish virgins of Matthew 25:1-13.&nbsp;
