For my yoke is easy, and by burden is light.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Verses 47-51:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n The prophets of the Hebrew Bible had warned that religious practice meant little in God\u2019s sight if the people\u2019s hearts were not right. The religious leaders did not listen to the prophet\u2019s words, instead they built elaborate graves for them after they had died. In effect, they were applying the prophets\u2019 messages to the past.
